VFI Minimalist Ropes
Have you ever found yourself in the backcountry wishing you had a rack full of climbing gear to get through a short section of technical terrain? The answer is not carrying 30 pounds of extra gear “just in case” – it is learning to do more with less. Inspired by the US Army’s Military Mountaineering curriculum we’ll take a stripped down approach to rope work and focus on the essentials for moving, hauling, and lowering in 3rd, 4th and 5th class terrain.
Duration: 1 day (8 hours)
Cost: $250
