Come join us for a class!
VFI Intro to Canyoneering
The VFI Intro to Canyoneering Course is a perfect introduction to technical canyoneering. Taught by American Canyoneering Association (ACA) Professional Guides and following the ACA Level 1 Skills Checklist, we take you through the basic skills you’ll need to descend easy canyons as team members with competent leaders and mentors.
VFI Intro to Climbing Self Rescue
Looking to get out of the gym but concerned about the risks of outdoor climbing? Or are you a multi-pitch climber whose idea of self-rescue is Search and Rescue on speed dial? In this scenario-based course, we use the gear that climbers already carry to improvise rescue systems.
VFI Advanced Ropes
This class is for Front Sight Practical Rope and Rappel students looking to take their skills to the next level. This class is scheduled following the Ropes Skillbuilder so you can get tuned up before learning more advanced techniques.
VFI Minimalist Ropes
Have you ever found yourself in the backcountry wishing you had a rack full of climbing gear to get through a short section of technical terrain? The answer is not carrying 30 pounds of extra gear “just in case” – it is learning to do more with less. Inspired by the US Army’s Military Mountaineering curriculum we’ll take a stripped down approach to rope work and focus on the essentials for moving, hauling, and lowering in 3rd, 4th and 5th class terrain.
